Ran into a few technical problems
- Jab Web's installer won't install wordpress until you ask them to turn safe mode off.
- Weird access rights errors in wordpress admin traced to Apache Mod-Sec rules.
A BIG Thumbs-Up for Jab Web Solutions technical Support (Andrew Thomas in this case). They were fast and knowledgeable, and Andrew was sorting out the safe mode thing at 10pm one night..
Paid Hosting. Proper support.
Lessons learned:
- Turn off php safe mode for Wordpress installations. (causes problems with uploads, and kills on-line updates
- Weird access rights problems in wordpress admin - mention mod-sec to the hosts.
