Some background info..

This may be my first posting here on Blogger, but that doesn't mean I'm a novice.
A bit of background:
I've had my own websites since around 1995. Originally, hand-coded html, hosted by Tripod.
I originally published my electronic music on www.electromancer.co.uk - when that site closed down,  I then moved on to hand-coding my sites with php and mysql, hosted with JabWeb
I stuck with that for some time, and even wrote my own successful banner-rotation system, rather like datafeedr.
I ran a phpbb bulletin board on my website as well, also backed-up by mysql.

.. and then I discovered Wordpress. Bugger. I've been re-inventing the wheel.

in the space of a couple of days, I had implemented Wordpress, linked-in my existing content and was up-and-running.

I then integrated the phpbb forum into the Wordpress system as well..

In leaps and bounds, I added SEO, RSS, and e-mail sign-ups.

Followed by discovering Google Feedburner...

I'll be explaining how to set up your own website using Wordpress and free plugins, explaining RSS, Feedburner, SEO etc, but just what you need to know.
